The Web Controller — live, in your browser

Besides automated playback, control from the timeline and the export to a Stream Deck XL, you can also control everything at any time from any device with a browser — even while the automation is running. This is the real control surface that Directors Plan serves to any tablet or phone on your network. Below it runs against recorded data from a real plan: tap the buttons, drag the faders, switch outputs — nothing is connected, nothing can break.

1.42.210New in 1.42.210: the CTRL page is a full mixer — Master, buses, groups and inputs with live faders and meters, plus REC/STREAM and output sources.

CTRL — a mixer like the tablet apps of hardware consoles. One strip for Master, every active bus (A–G), each volume group of the plan and, when switched on, every audio input: vertical fader, mute, two live meters, following vMix in real time. On top: REC, STREAM, EXT, MULTICORDER, FULLSCREEN with live status and the output sources (Fullscreen 1/2, Output 2–4, External 2 → Output, Preview, MultiView, Replay, Mix 1–16 or any input).

On a real desk — 21 seconds

Start clips with transitions from the Cues page, pull the Master fader on CTRL and watch vMix follow with live levels, then switch an overlay on from OVL. Phone video, no cuts.

How it works on your network

  1. In Directors Plan open Settings → Web Controller, switch the server on (default port 8570, optional PIN).
  2. On the tablet open the shown address or scan the QR code. Nothing to install — any browser works, a ten-year-old Android tablet or a retired iPad included.
  3. The surface is generated from the open plan and pushed to every connected device; plan changes sync automatically.
